MAHWAH, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Ramapo College led 29-14 at halftime before earning a 63-30 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory over New Jersey City University in NJAC women's basketball action on February 11 inside the Bill Bradley Center. NJCU was held to four points in the second and third periods and was unable to score more than 12 points in any given quarter of play.
 
Ramapo's (10-14, 5-12 NJAC) bench outscored the NJCU (4-20, 0-17 NJAC, Lost 12) reserves, 25-4. The Roadrunners outrebounded the Gothic Knights, 40-25. NJCU did not place a scorer in double figures.
 
Senior guard/forward Jazz Randall (Parsippany, N.J./West Orange) led the Gothic Knights with eight points on 2-of-6 shooting. Ziyadah Williams (Jersey City, N.J./University Academy Charter) scored seven points and grabbed five boards, while freshman forward Atonie Johnson (Irvington, N.J./Irvington) secured six rebounds and five points.
 
Ramapo had four players score at least nine points against NJCU. Junior guard Jina Crawford netted a game-high 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 FT) in 14 minutes off the bench. In only 18 minutes, senior forward Kellie Lane totaled 10 points after shooting 5-of-6 from the charity stripe and 2-of-3 from the floor.
 
In 27 minutes of action, Bintou Berete hauled in a game-high 14 rebounds (12 defensive). The senior forward scored seven of her nine points from the free throw line (7-8) and she made her lone shot attempt. Tia Solomon scored nine points (4-7 FG) and added six rebounds and three blocks in 25 minutes of work. The final margin was Ramapo's largest lead of the day.
 
OF NOTE:

• 69th meeting. Ramapo leads all-time series, 41-28.
• Ramapo shot 50 percent overall (20-40) and 80 percent (20-25) from the foul line. RCNJ was 5-of-9 in the first quarter (.556) and 6-of-9 (.667) in the fourth.

NJCU wraps up its 47th season of intercollegiate action when it hosts third place Stockton University (16-8, 11-6 NJAC) on Wednesday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. inside the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center ("Charlie Brown Court"). Prior to Wednesday's NJAC contest, NJCU will recognize its six-woman senior class for their accomplishments and contributions during their time at NJCU. The Ospreys won the previous meeting this season, 65-38. Stockton leads the all-time series, 47-13, and has won 26 of the last 27 meetings since November, 1998.
