JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | The
New Jersey City University's baseball team will need to wait at least a few more days to get a game in on its home field. NJCU's non-conference game with Baruch College on Tuesday, March 28 has been postponed due to rain and field conditions; a new date has not been determined.
Â
The postponement marks the ninth this season against seven different opponents, including the fifth change to the home schedule at NJCU's Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.
Â
Â
Weather-permitting, NJCU will finally play at home when it opens its New Jersey Athletic Conference schedule with an 11:30 a.m. doubleheader on Saturday, April 1 against No. 25 ranked Kean. Prior to that, NJCU (4-5), winners of three straight, is slated to play on the road at Staten Island (March 29, 4 p.m.) and Mount Saint Mary (March 30, 7 p.m.).
