JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | All you can do now is laugh. With heavy rain falling all day on March 31 and into tomorrow, the New Jersey City University softball doubleheader on April 1 (1 p.m.) against Rutgers-Camden, slated to be NJCU's new home opener and the 2017 New Jersey Athletic Conference debut, is postponed.

NJCU and Rutgers-Camden will attempt to play on Sunday, April 2 at 2 and 4 p.m. if field conditions at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex permit. | Updated Softball Schedule

NJCU's non-conference doubleheader against Hunter College on April 2, previously postponed on March 21, is rescheduled for a second time and will be played on Sunday, April 23 at 12 and 2 p.m. in Jersey City.

NJCU is 7-3 overall but has played just one doubleheader since March 9 when it returned from Naples, Fla. The postponement is the fifth this season for the NJCU softball program.
