New Jersey City University on April 18 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. Montclair swept the twinbill, 6-2 and 9-3.
Montclair State improved to 17-13 overall and 6-6 in the NJAC, solidifying a potential NJAC Tournament berth with four points in the standings. NJCU dropped to 8-16 and 0-12 in the league.
Montclair State scored five runs in the top of the third inning in game one in a scoreless contest. NJCU led 1-0 after three innings in game two before the Red Hawks scored seven in the visitor's fourth.
Gavin was 3-for-7 with three RBIs and two runs in the twinbill.
