JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Tuesday night's
New Jersey City University non-conference game at St. Joseph's College (LI) in Patchogue, N.Y. has been rained out on April 25. Since both schools have lost games this year due to weather, NJCU and the Golden Eagles have agreed to make up the single game as a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday, April 26) at 4 p.m. in Patchogue. The two games will be seven-inning affairs.
NJCU is 13-16 overall and coming off a 6-4 road upset of No. 11/13 ranked TCNJ on April 23 in Ewing, N.J. The Golden Eagles are 21-10 overall and in second place in the Skyline Conference at 13-3. They are 10-3 at home. SJCLI received four points in this week's D3baseball.com Top 25 rankings, equivalent to a No. 39 national listing.
The latest changes mark the 20th postponement of the 2017 season against 12 different opponents, with two other home dates moved to the road. |
Updated Baseball Schedule
Additionally, the rescheduled doubleheader against Moravian College on May 7, has been changed from two seven-inning games to a pair of full nine-inning contests.
NJCU has played 29 games of its original 40-game schedule and currently has nine regular-season contests remaining with a postseason berth still a reality.
