Dominique Jackson (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) made 13 saves but Cabrini University scored a pair of goals in each half against a short-handed Gothic Knight squad and defeated the
New Jersey City University women's soccer team, 4-0, in a non-conference game on September 8.

Cabrini (2-0-1), members of the Colonial States Athletic Conference, posted its third consecutive shutout to open the season. NJCU, playing without both of its starting center mids,
Mallensy Vargas (North Bergen, NJ/Memorial) and
Katherin Merino (Harrison, NJ/Harrison), dropped to 0-4-0. The Cavs outshot NJCU, 24-2, including all 13 in the second half.

Cabrini took command with goals in the 21st and 28th minutes before adding two more in a little over five minutes early in the second half. Senior forward
Brittany Runyen (Cinnaminson, N.J.) scored twice, tallying the first and third goals and senior forward
Taylor Tralie (Sicklerville, N.J.) added a pair of assists in the second half.

Sophomore midfielder
Diana VanSickle (Brick, N.J.) and senior midfielder
Marisa Christensen (Lansdale, Pa.) added the other goals. Sophomore back
Maddy Wojton (Yardley, Pa.) and freshman back
Rachel Wood (Voorhees, N.J.) had single assists. Freshman goalkeeper
Ashley Tutzauer (Toms River, N.J.) earned the win for Cavs without facing a shot on goal.

Runyen's shot from 20 yards out over
Jackson's head proved to be the winner.
VanSickle made it 2-0 when she knocked a rebound into an open net after
Jackson made a diving save on a hit by
Wood.
