JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Due to heavy rain and poor field conditions caused by multiple days of inclement weather, the home
New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer game between
New Jersey City University and No. 6/9 ranked The College of New Jersey has been postponed on Saturday, October 13. The game, designated as NJCU's Senior Day, has been rescheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, October 17 (time TBA) at the Robert L. McNulty Memorial Soccer Field.
Â
The postponement is the second of the season in what has been an unusually wet fall season for NJCU women's soccer. On September 26, NJCU's home game vs. Kean was postponed and ultimately played the next day at Kean in Union, N.J.
Â
Prior to Wednesday's kickoff, NJCU will honor its 2018 senior class: captains
Daniela Betancourt (Secaucus, NJ/Memorial) and
Nina Carbonaro (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex),
Gina Carbonaro (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex),
Dana-Marie Laloo (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck),
Katherin Merino (Harrison, NJ/Harrison) and
Karen Tuesta (Clifton, NJ/Clifton).
