The Gothic Knights had their lone midweek game halted due to lightning this week, as their trip to Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y. had to be cut short in the 40th minute with NJCU trailing 1-0.

The last home game for the Knights was Saturday, September 22 against William Paterson University—falling 2-1 in overtime.

The last time these two teams met, Rowan was coming in as the No. 24 ranked team in the country, and they rolled to a 6-0 win in Glassboro, N.J. This year, the Profs aren't nationally ranked, but are regionally. Rowan is No. 7 in the latest NCAA Division III South Atlantic Region poll released on October 2.

Rowan Key Players:
Rowan boasts a strong side, one led by senior forward Ryan Campbell (Wyckoff, N.J.), whose seven goals are tops on the team. Junior midfielder Kevin Primich (Hamilton, N.J.) has three goals and four assists. Also leading Rowan are senior captain and backline stalwart Will Sjaastad (Allentown, N.J.) and senior goalie Kyle Dennis (South Plainfield, N.J.) who has started all 12 matches, winning eight and allowing a goals against average of just 0.83. Dennis ranked fifth in the nation in goalkeeper minutes played (1084:44) and 41st in the country with four shutouts.

Rowan comes into Saturday's showdown having won two straight, one of which was an NJAC victory (4-0 over Kean University). The Knights are still looking for their first conference win of 2018, as they are 0-4-0 in conference play, but they have been outscored by only six goals in those four losses, as most have come down to the wire.

Common Opponents:
The Knights and Profs have a pair of common opponents in 2018, both of whom reside in the NJAC as well. The aforementioned Cougars defeated NJCU 1-0, while taking the 4-0 L against Rowan. Both sides have also faced William Paterson with differing results; Rowan emerged victorious in a tightly-contested 1-0 battle.

  • Assists: Sanoh (3)
