November 15, 2018

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University will hold an expanded men's and women's basketball alumni weekend on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8, the athletics department has announced.

The women's basketball alumni game will return for the first time in several seasons and will be organized by new head coach Pat Devaney. The game will be played on the Friday evening of alumni weekend at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, due to high demand, on Saturday morning the men's basketball alumni will play two games for the first time—an Over 40 game at 10:30 a.m. followed by an Under 40 game at 11:30 a.m.

Men's and women's alumni from all eras will have a chance to interact during a combined alumni reception at 1 p.m. Basketball alumni do not need to play in the games to attend the reception.

Both varsity programs will host Rutgers-Newark in New Jersey Athletic Conference action, beginning at 3 p.m. with the women's contest. The men will tip at approximately 5 p.m.

Basketball alumni who wish to play in the games and/or attend the reception should RSVP at this link: www.njcugothicknights.com/201819alumnigame
