JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University will send off its NCAA Tournament-bound men's basketball team with a breakfast pep rally on Thursday, March 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby of the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center. The free event is open to the entire NJCU community and will include a free breakfast—bagels, spreads, donuts, juice and coffee—and promotional giveaways.
The sendoff is sponsored by the NJCU Office of Residence life and will include remarks from President Sue Henderson, head coach
Marc Brown and NJCU's team captains, prior to the team embarking at 10 a.m. on a five-hour journey to Plattsburgh, N.Y. where it will face Union College in the NCAA First Round on Friday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. It is the 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in the Gothic Knight's illustrious men's basketball history.
