JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Today's home
New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer game between
New Jersey City University and Kean University has been postponed due to severe flooding as the result of yesterday's heavy rains that swept across North Jersey.
Â
With standing water still covering much of the grass playing surface at NJCU's Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex, the game has been moved to Union, N.J. and will be hosted tomorrow (Thursday, September 27) by Kean on its turf field at Kean Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
Â
NJCU will come into the game at .500 overall (4-4-0, 0-2-0 NJAC); Kean is 2-3-3 (0-1-1 NJAC). It is the first postponement of the year for NJCU women's soccer.
Â
Tonight's men's soccer game between NJCU and Kean in Union, N.J. will be played as scheduled, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
