CAMDEN, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | Rutgers University-Camden handed the
New Jersey City University women's volleyball team a 3-0 loss in the final New Jersey Athletic Conference match of the 2019 season. Set scores were 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.

Rutgers-Camden (13-15, 2-6 NJAC), had a 37-21 margin in kills in the match. NJCU fell to 8-16 overall and finished the conference slate without a win (0-8 NJAC). Camden had a 16-3 differential in service aces as seven different Raptors produced at least one.

NJCU's top three performers were all freshmen. NJCU received a match-high 11 kills from freshman outside hitter
Xarial Chandler (East Orange, NJ/University) who reached double digits in kills for the fifth consecutive match. She added 12 digs for her fourth career double-double with three aces. Freshman libero
Bella Sunahara (Parker, CO/Legend), the NJAC Rookie of the Week, had 20 digs—her sixth consecutive effort with at least 20 digs. Freshman setter
Katrina Nguyendon (Union, NJ/Union) produced her 10th double-double of the season with 19 assists and 13 digs.Â

For the Scarlet Raptors, senior outside hitter
Jamie Mulligan (
New Gretna, N.J.) had 10 kills and 11 digs with three aces, twin sister
Morgan Mulligan (New Gretna, N.J.) hit .280 with nine kills (9-2-25), 16 digs and three aces and senior outside
Jordan Erskine (Barnegat, N.J.) contributed eight kills, hitting .333 (8-2-18) as the top three hitters combined for 27 kills. Sophomore setters
Brinn Hassan (Williamstown, N.J.) and
Kayla Benesz (East Brunswick, N.J.) had 19 and 11 assists, respectively.

Camden jumped out to a 12-2 lead in game one and sealed the set with a final 7-1 run. Leading 7-5 in game two, Camden reeled off a 6-0 run, paced by three consecutive aces from
Jamie Mulligan, to claim a 13-5 lead. Camden led for most of the third set but didn't pull away until a 4-0 run, fueled by three NJCU attack errors, turned a 19-15 lead into a 23-15 advantage, before finishing off the sweep.

- Sunahara tallied her eighth career match with 20+ digs and she has reached double figures in digs in 15 of her 21 career matches.Â
