JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | For the third time there has been a change to
New Jersey City University's scheduled New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader against Rutgers-Newark. In a venue change announced on Wednesday night, NJCU will now host the Scarlet Raiders on Thursday, April 18, with a 3 p.m. first pitch, at NJCU's Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.
Â
The doubleheader was originally scheduled for April 13 in Newark, N.J. but was rained out and moved to Thursday, April 18 on the road before the third change moved the twinbill to Jersey City.
Â
It gives NJCU back an NJAC home doubleheader it lost when Tuesday's contests against Montclair State University were moved from Jersey City to Montclair.
Â
The schedule change is the fifth of the 2019 season for the NJCU softball program. With rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, the status for this weekend's home doubleheader against TCNJ will be determined later this week.
