JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | With the April weather still tumultuous, games beginning to backlog and more unstable weather on the horizon this week, the New Jersey City University baseball team has made five changes to its schedule this week alone.
 
NJCU's makeup doubleheader against Montclair State University was rained out on Monday, April 22 after both teams had arrived at Yogi Berra Stadium, but could never take the tarp off the field. The two schools will try for a third time to get the doubleheader in on Tuesday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m.
 
To make room for the Montclair State doubleheader, NJCU's non-conference game at SUNY New Paltz on April 23 (4 p.m.) is postponed.
 
Meanwhile, with rain in the forecast for Friday, NJCU and Kean University have proactively turned Thursday's opening game of the New Jersey Athletic Conference home-and-home series into a doubleheader to be played at Jim Hynes `63 Baseball Stadium, beginning at 3 p.m. With this change, NJCU's home game against Kean on Friday, April 26 is cancelled.
 
Meanwhile, NJCU's home non-conference game on Sunday, April 28 against Ursinus College, originally scheduled as the Gothic Knight Senior Day, has been cancelled to allow NJCU to makeup a non-conference doubleheader with St. Joseph's College (LI) in Patchogue, N.Y. That doubleheader will feature two 7-inning games and begin at 1:30 p.m.
 
NJCU will add a new date as a home Senior Day game during the week of April 30 to May 4. That matchup will be announced once finalized.
