JERSEY CITY, N.J. (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | New Jersey City University will hold its annual men's and women's basketball alumni weekend on Saturday, February 1, featuring two alumni games, an alumni reception and two NCAA games between the Gothic Knights and Rutgers-Newark at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (110 Culver Avenue in Jersey City).
 
The women's basketball alumni game will feature nearly two dozen recent players and is organized by second-year head coach Pat Devaney. The game will be played on February 1 at 11 a.m. JCSC all-time great Doris Nicholson and Dr. Tamara Cunningham, a former Gothic Knight and current Assistant Vice President for Global Initiatives, will serve as the coaches for the women's game.
 
The annual men's basketball alumni game, organized by 13th year head coach Marc Brown, will tip at 12:30 p.m. with more than 50 former Gothic Knights scheduled to appear. Guest coaches will be announced later this week.
 
Men's and women's alumni from all eras will have a chance to interact during a combined alumni reception at 2 p.m. Basketball alumni do not need to play in the games to attend the reception.
 
Both varsity programs will host Rutgers-Newark in New Jersey Athletic Conference action, beginning at 3 p.m. with the women's contest. The men will tip at approximately 5 p.m.
