New Jersey City University men's volleyball to a .062 attack as the Bearcats swept NJCU, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-19) in a non-conference matchup on January 30 at the ARC Arena.

NJCU (1-2), playing its first road match of the season, had 6.0 blocks as a team, but couldn't get its offense going. Baruch evened its record at 3-3.

Junior outside hitter
Jonathan Andrews (North Bergen, NJ/North Bergen) finished with nine kills, three blocks and two aces while sophomore middle blocker
Jeffry Rodriguez (Elizabeth, NJ/John E. Dwyer Technology AcademyElizabeth, N.J. (John E. Dwyer Technology Academy) hit .455 with six kills (6-1-11) and two blocks. Sophomore setter
Leo Ferrari (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) finished with 22 assists in his second match at the position.

Senior right side
Artem Zinkin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) paced Baruch with a match-high 11 kills, hitting .273 with five digs and four blocks. Junior middle hitter
Meni Musheyev (Forest HIlls, N.Y.) hit .700 overall with seven kills on 10 swings (no errors) and three blocks. Junior middle
Evan Takos (Bayside, N.Y.) landed a .625 attack percentage with six kills (6-1-8) and had three aces in two sets. junior setter
Edward Grinberg (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had 22 assists in two sets of action.

Baruch finished with 39 kills and 7.0 blocks. Baruch had 11 kills in the opening set. NJCU led 11-10 before Baruch reeled off eight consecutive points to grab an 18-11 lead to seize the momentum.
Zinkin had back-to-back kills and
Takos floored three aces during the run.

The Bearcats put up huge numbers in game two, hitting .452 overall when 18 of their 25 points came via kills (18-4-31). Despite that, NJCU led 13-10 midway through the set and still were in front 16-15 before Baruch unleashed a 7-0 run to gain a 22-16 lead it wouldn't relinquish.
Musheyev contributed to four consecutive points during the run—three kills and a block.Â

Each team had 10 kills in the final set but NJCU was never in the game, falling behind 14-7 early and never could catch up.
