THE SCORING
NJCU struck in the top of the fourth. Rivera and Wiltsey walked back-to-back to open the frame, moved into scoring position on a double steal and Rivera scored on a passed ball.

Tannucilli, who in six innings in a losing cause (0-2), allowed just two earned runs and four hits, striking out five and walking five, saw his no-hit bid broken up with a two-out single by freshman catcher Emmet Reynolds (Baltimore, Md.), then after a throwing error extended the inning. Reynolds scored to tie the game on an RBI single by sophomore left fielder Paul Cooke (Cranbury, N.J.)

2019.04-23 Ricky Voss 10
Ricky Voss (Eatontown, NJ/Monmouth Regional) batted 2-for-4 with
an RBI and a walk.

Swarthmore took the lead with two runs in the sixth. Beeker hit a one-out solo homer to right and senior center fielder Jared Gillen (Stilwel, Kan.) who walked and stole second, scored the go-ahead run on a two-out single to center by junior shortstop Coleson Hebble (Coconut Grove, Pa.)

Freshman righty Aaron Ayers (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) started the seventh for NJCU. Leading 3-1, the Garnet put runners on the corners with a pair of singles and plated a fourth run on an RBI groundout by Beeker.

Swarthmore pushed the lead to 6-1 with two runs in the bottom of the eighth on a sac bunt that plated two runs after a leadoff double by freshman third baseman Ari Fierer (Denver, Colo.) and an error.

The Knights tried to rally in the ninth.
