The Red Hawks dominated most facets of the game, but most notably from beyond the arc, connecting on 11-19 from deep, compared to 2-22 for NJCU. Montclair outrebounded the Knights by a margin of 46-28.
Junior wing
Dayjah Anderson (East Orange, NJ/Newark Tech), this week's NJAC Player of the Week, led the Knights on the night, tallying 13 points — she was the lone Gothic Knight in double figures. Freshman guard
Samantha DiPopolo (North Arlington, NJ/North Arlington) continued her stretch of improvement, once again setting a career-high with eight points off the bench. She has set a new career-high for points in each of her last two games and three of her last five outings.
For the Red Hawks, junior guard
Kim Calloway (Morristown, N.J.) led the way off the bench, scoring a game-high 18 points and adding four steals. Two other MSU players finished with 17 points as junior guard

Alex McKinnon (Fairfield, Conn.) each hit the total. Junior forward
Kayla Bush (Morristown, N.J.) filled the rest of the stat sheet with 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, two points, and a steal.
NJCU held their own to start the game, and they actually took the lead at the 2:55 mark in the first quarter, when a layup from
Anderson put the Knights ahead, 9-8. However, that would be the lone lead of the game for NJCU, as Montclair responded less than a minute later with a three and went on a 12-3 run covering the end of the first and beginning of the second quarters that established a lead they would not surrender.
The Red Hawks outscored the Knights 23-9 in both the third and fourth quarters to keep Montclair in a tie for first atop the NJAC women's basketball standings with Rowan University. As for NJCU, the loss did not impact its postseason hopes; it still currently sits in sixth place — the final playoff spot — two games ahead of Rutgers-Camden, who they play on the road in the penultimate game of the season.
