NCAA Bound: Men's Volleyball Heads to Tournament for First Time Ever

Gothic Knights to Play Wentworth in First Round on April 21

SALEM, Va. — For the first time in program history, the New Jersey City University men's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA Division III Championship. The Gothic Knights were one of 12 teams across the country selected to the 2021 Men's Volleyball Tournament.

NJCU will face the Wentworth Institute of Technology in the First Round in Salem, Va., at the Salem Civic Center on Wednesday, April 21, at 5:00 p.m. Should they defeat the Leopards, the Gothic Knights would move on to the Quarterfinal Round and face Southern Virginia University on Thursday, April 22, at 5:00 p.m. Once again, if victorious they would advance to the Semifinal Round on Friday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m. and face a to-be-determined opponent. The Championship match is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, at 5:00 p.m. as well.

The Gothic Knights got to this point by winning in the semifinal and final round of the 2021 Skyline Conference Championship on Saturday, April 10, to claim the program's first-ever conference title.
