JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Due to the impending Winter Storm Kenan, which is set to blanket the state of New Jersey with snow on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29, New Jersey City University has announced that its scheduled Saturday afternoon basketball doubleheader against The College of New Jersey has been postponed to Monday night, Jan. 31. The women will tip off at 6:00 p.m., followed by the men at 8:00 p.m., both taking place on Coach Charlie Brown Court at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (JMAC).
The Gothic Knight women enter Monday's match-up with the Lions as winners of three straight (including one forfeit victory) following their dramatic 89-84 overtime triumph over William Paterson University at home on Wednesday night, Jan. 26. The TCNJ women, after a couple of losses, enter Monday following their 80-49 win at home over Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday. Jersey City's men are in search of a big victory against the Lions, having dropped three in a row, while TCNJ recently halted its three-game losing streak win a 72-47 win over the Scarlet Raptors on Wednesday.
