CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The New Jersey City University men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2022 seasons on Saturday, Nov. 12, as they each competed in the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships, which were hosted by DeSales University.
The Gothic Knight men sent seven men to DeSales for the 8K championship race and the team put together a 15th-place finish out of 25 scoring teams, which mirrors last season's 15th-place finish, as well. Individually, senior
Jaime Tlatelpa (Jersey City, N.J./University Academy Charter) led the way for Jersey City with his time of 28:38, followed by junior
Jake Sisk (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) at 29:18.
On the women's side of things, senior
Grace Sabaya (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) continues to impress as she posted a dominate time of 25:01 in the 6K event to place 45th overall out of 170 total runners.
