PITMAN, N.J. — The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its weekly award winners today, Monday, Nov. 7, and a pair of New Jersey City University cross country student-athletes picked up Runner of the Week honors in seniors Grace Sabaya (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) and Jaime Tlatelpa (Jersey City, N.J./University Academy Charter).

The pair led the Gothic Knights this past weekend at the 2022 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships, during which Tlatelpa placed 13th overall in the men's 8K race with a time of 29:43.20 to lead NJCU to a third-place team finish. Sabaya was the third-place finisher in the women's 6K race with a time of 26:29.70, competing in just her second-career collegiate event.
