NEW CASTLE, Del. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team completed its three-day competition at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University, on Sunday, Feb. 20. The Gothic Knights had three best-of-seven baker style matches on Sunday to finish the weekend in 10th place.
Jersey City first faced off with Chestnut Hill College, falling in five games. The Gothic Knights then fell in four to Daemen, however freshman
Anna Trachsler (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) posted her best game of the day with a 192, while senior
Gisselle Vigil (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) bowled her best game with a 157.
The third and final match of the day saw NJCU fall to Bloomfield College in five games, however three of the five Green and Gold bowlers had their best games of the day. Sophomore
Rebecca Hoff (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) finished with a 182, followed by
Meagan Raimondo (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) at 188 and the highlight of the weekend for the Gothic Knights was
Rebecca Kain (Keansburg, N.J./Keansburg), who bowled a 210.
