The Gothic Knights gathered together today, Monday, Feb. 28, in the lobby of the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (JMAC) to watch the live selection show. It was announced then that NJCU will be traveling to the University of Scranton for the First and Second Rounds of the 2021-22 Women's Basketball Tournament.
The Gothic Knights will face off with host-Scranton — ranked #9 and #11 in the most recent D3hoops.com and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 National Polls for Division III, respectively — on Friday night, March 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the First Round. Should the Green and Gold top the Lady Royals, they then play the winner of the SUNY New Paltz vs. Babson College matchup from 5:00 p.m. on Friday in the Second Round contest on Saturday, March 5, at 6:00 p.m.

Jersey City heads to the Eliectric City fresh off its second consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship. The Gothic Knights defeated The College of New Jersey in the first-ever home NJAC title game in program history on Saturday night, Feb. 26. NJCU did not compete in NCAAs last season after winning the program's first-ever conference title, as Division III did not sponsor a women's basketball tournament.
