OSWEGO, N.Y. — The New Jersey City University men's golf team started play in round one of the Oswego State Fall Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Oswego Country Club. The Gothic Knights sit in 11th place after the first 18 holes.
Individually, freshman
Garrett Miller (Port St. Lucie, Fla./St. Lucie West Centennial) led Jersey City and is tied for 48th following his first-round score of 88. Behind him was fellow first year
Tim Bock (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees), who is tied for 50th following his first-round 90. Junior
Taj Piontkowski (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) is in 54th after shooting a 92, while the final golfer to score was freshman
Walter Pierce (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) who is in 58th after his first-round 98. Senior
Zachary Ware (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) also competed on the day.
