CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team competed in day one of the three-day Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin #1 on Friday, Nov. 17. The tournament is being hosted by Hilbert College at AMF Airport Lanes. The Gothic Knights had a successful first day of competition in the five-game Baker Total Pinfall tournament, picking up a pair of victories over three matches and currently sit in fifth place out of 11 teams with two more days remaining.
NJCU (7-4, 2-1 AMCC) started off with an 854-768 victory over the hosting Hawks. The Green and Gold pulled out their second win of the day, topping Mount Aloysius College by a final of 756-681. Finally, the Gothic Knights nearly went a perfect 3-0 on the day, falling in a tight match to Penn State Behrend by a final of 804-790.
