CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team continued play at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin #1 on Saturday, Nov. 18. The three-day tournament is being hosted by Hilbert College at AMF Airport Lanes. The Gothic Knights followed up a two-win day one with a trio of victories on Saturday and remain in fifth place out of 11 teams with five wins over eight matches and have two more to go on the third and final day.
The Green and Gold (10-6, 5-3 AMCC) started off with a tough, 881-687, loss to William Smith College, but came back strong by just edging out the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 791-779, for their first win of the day. They made it two victories in a row with a convincing one, 787-634, against La Roche University. After a very tight loss to Alvernia University, 882-857, the Gothic Knights closed out the day with a 745-728 win over the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for their fifth victory of the weekend.
