Bowling Moves up to Fourth After Final Day of AMCC Round Robin #1

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team closed out play at the three-day Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin #1 on Sunday, Nov. 19. After ending each of the first two days in fifth place, the Gothic Knights used a 1-1 Sunday to slide into the fourth-place spot out of 11 teams after 10 total matches this weekend.

After going 2-1 on Friday, Nov. 17, and 3-2 on Saturday, Nov. 18, NJCU (11-7, 6-4 AMCC) faced off with #RV Saint Vincent College in the day's first match. Despite the loss, the Gothic Knights scored a season-high 929 to the Bearcats' 961. The Green and Gold closed out the weekend with a 788-737 victory over Penn State Altoona.

Up Next:
NJCU has finished up the 2023 portion of the schedule and will return for a pair of three-day tournaments in the New Year. First up, the squad will travel to Delaware for the Northeast Classic (Jan. 19-21), before heading to Stratford, N.J., for the NJ Open (Jan. 26-28).
