MONROEVILLE, Pa. — The New Jersey City University women's bowling team opened up its 2023-24 season on Saturday, Nov. 4, on day one of the Bobcat Baker Classic, which is being hosted over two days by the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg at Lokay Lanes. NJCU competed in four official matches on Saturday, picking up a pair of victories over Penn State Behrend and Penn State Altoona to close out the day.
Individually, six Gothic Knights (2-2) competed on the day. Seniors

Gabriela Fernandez (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) and captain
Meagan Raimondo (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge), as well as junior
Anna Trachsler (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) and freshman
Sofia Ocasio (Union City, N.J./Jose Marti STEM Academy).

The Gothic Knights return to action for the second and final day of the Bobcat Baker Classic tomorrow morning, Sunday, Nov. 5. Following that, NJCU kicks off Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Round Robin play in Cheektowaga, N.Y., at AMF Airport Lanes from Friday-Sunday, Nov. 17-19. The AMCC Round Robin #1 is hosted by Hilbert College.
