NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The New Jersey City University men's basketball team returned to action following a 12-day respite on Thursday, Dec. 28, competing in the first round of the Captains Classic, hosted by #12 Christopher Newport University. The Gothic Knights faced off with Stevenson University and, despite a late comeback, suffered a 76-63 loss at the hands of the Mustangs.
Overall, NJCU (3-9) had eight players score in double figures, led by 12 points off the bench from leading-scorer, senior forward
