KENILWORTH, N.J. — The New Jersey City University men's golf team opened up play for its 2023 Spring campaign on Wednesday, March 29, and the Gothic Knights hosted Atlantic East Conference (AEC) and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) rival William Paterson for a dual match at Galloping Hill Golf Course. Both teams played very well, with the Pioneers coming out on top, 342-354.
Leading the way for Jersey City was freshman
Tim Bock (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees), who tied for first with an 82, as both squads played 18 holes on the par-71, 6,855-yard course on Wednesday. The next highest scorer for NJCU was sophomore Tamuda Kaseka, who shot an 87 to tie for fourth. Junior
Taj Piontkowski (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) shot a 90 to place seventh, followed by senior Zach Ware in ninth with a 95 and freshman Walter Pierece in 10th with a 99.
