WILMINGTON, Del. — The New Jersey City University men's golf team competed in the two-round, 36-hole Swarthmore College DuPont Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, April 10-11 and the Gothic Knights placed 11th in the tournament, which was held at DuPont Country Club.
Leading the way for NJCU was junior
Taj Piontkowski (Califon, N.J./Voorhees), to tied for 37th with a two-round score of 168 (82-86). A few shots back of him at 172 (86-86) was freshman
Tim Bock (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees), who placed 42nd.Coming in a tie for 44th was sophomore
Tamuda Kaseke (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. John's College), who shot a two-round total of 175 (89-86). Freshman
Walter Pierce (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) and senior
Zachary Ware (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) both tied for 56th with 197s. Overall, NJCU had a team score of 704.

Jersey City returns to the course on Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16, in Washington, N.J., for the Garden State Collegiate Classic. The 36-hole tournament is being hosted by Drew University at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.
