SUGARLOAF, Pa. — The New Jersey City University men's golf program, competing in its final event, took part in the 36-hole Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Championship on Friday and Saturday, April 21-22. The tournament was hosted by Marywood University on the par-70, 5,106-yard course at Valley Country Club.
NJCU placed sixth overall in the team championship with a two-round total of 695, while Cabrini University claimed the title with a 631. Individually, Liam Caspar of the Cavaliers took first with a two-round 154 (75-79).

For the Gothic Knights, they were led by sophomore
Tamuda Kaseke (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. John's College), who came in sixth overall with a two-round total of 160 (82-78). The top five placers earned First Team All-Atlantic East honors, while Kaseke and fourth others garnered Second Team All-Conference accolades.
Also competing on the weekend for the Gothic Knights were junior
Taj Piontkowski (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) — he finished in a tie for 18th with a two-round total of 172 (80-92), freshman
Tim Bock (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) in 23rd (179), senior
Zachary Ware (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) (184) and freshman
Walter Pierce (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) (205).
