WAYNE, N.J. — The New Jersey City University women's tennis team played its second of three straight New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) in a three-day span today, Monday, April 3, and the Gothic Knights once again emerged victorious, defeating William Paterson University on the road, 9-0, dropping just eight sets throughout the entirety of the match.

Sara Zorzan (Milan, Italy/Liceo Falcone Borsellino) got NJCU (5-3, 2-0 NJAC) started with an 8-0 win over the Pioneers (2-3, 0-2 NJAC) at first doubles before sophomore
Vanshita Malhotra (Barwala, India/DAV Model School) and freshman
Sophia Jurina (Munich, Germany/Carl-Spitzweg-Gymnasium) won at #2 via an 8-1 advantage. Rookie
Mar Julia (Barcelona, Spain/INS Sant Quirze) and junior
Lockslea Mayers (Westminster, Md./Westminster) closed it out with the 8-2 win at third doubles.
Malhotra (second singles), Jurina (third singles),
Sara Zorzan (Milan, Italy/Liceo Falcone Borsellino) (fourth singles) and Julia (fifth singles) all won their matches in straight, scoreless sets, 6-0, 6-0.
Giada Zorzan (Milan, Italy/Liceo dello Sport Marco Pantani) won first singles, 6-1, 6-1, while Mayers took sixth, 6-1, 6-2.
