HERSEY, Pa. — The New Jersey City University men's and women's golf programs competed on Thursday, April 6, at the 18-hole Elizabethtown College Invitational, hosted at Hershey Country Club.
On the women's side, freshman
Meadow Ciccarella (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) led the way for the Gothic Knights with a round of 103 to tie for 16th overall, while sophomore
Destiny Duhaney (Freeport, Bahamas/Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Academy) was just three shots back with a 106 to place 21st.
For the NJCU men, once again freshman
Tim Bock (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) was the Gothic Knights' top finisher. He shot a round of 80 to tie for ninth overall out of 71 golfers on the day. Behind with rounds of 95 were sophomore
Tamuda Kaseke (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. John's College) and junior
Taj Piontkowski (Califon, N.J./Voorhees). Senior
Zachary Ware (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) shot a 105 while freshman
Walter Pierce (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) finished with a 109.

The Gothic Knight women are back on the course on Wednesday, April 19, for the Albright College Women's Invitational at Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa.
