December 30, 2024

PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) has recognized senior guard Destiny Battle (East Orange, N.J./East Orange STEM Academy) as its Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 23-29. Battle, a native of East Orange, N.J., turned in a standout performance in a non-conference matchup against DeSales, where she registered double-digit points.

In 23 minutes of play, Battle finished with 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals, despite the Gothic Knights falling to DeSales. She posted a season-high 2-of-5 from three-point range and set a season-high by shooting 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. This marks her first NJAC Player of the Week honor and is the first for New Jersey City University (NJCU) this season.
