PITMAN, N.J. — The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its award winners for the previous week of action today, Monday, Feb.12, and, for the second consecutive week, New Jersey City University freshman outside hitter
Marcus Pardasie (Paramus, N.J./Cresskill) was selected as the Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week.
The reigning NJAC Rookie of the Week finished last week with a team-high 28 kills (2.80/set), 14 digs (1.40/set) and two blocks (0.20/set). He started off with eight kills, three digs, an ace and a block in the three-set sweep at Cairn University on Thursday, Feb. 8, in Langhorne, Pa. Pardasie then had a team-best 16 kills and five errors on 42 swings (.262) against #RV New Paltz on Saturday, Feb. 10, over four sets in New Paltz, N.Y., adding five digs and a block. He closed out his day against #2 Stevens Institute of Technology with four kills and six digs in the second match of the afternoon.

Originally scheduled to play Saint Elizabeth University on Tuesday night, Feb. 13, in their home-opener at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center (JMAC), that match has been postponed due to weather. The Gothic Knights are now prepping for their Skyline Conference opener, which will be on the road on Friday afternoon, Feb. 16, at Yeshiva University in New York.
