PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — The New Jersey City University men's volleyball squad, seeded #2 in the 2024 Skyline Conference Tournament, made it all the way to the championship match on Saturday, April 13, marking the third time in the last four seasons the program has done so.
The Gothic Knights (21-10, 17-1 Skyline), winners of 18 of their last 19 entering today's match, faced off with #1 seed St. Joseph's University-Long Island (25-6, 17-1 Skyline) on the road. However, it was the hometown Golden Eagles that came away with the three-set win, defeating NJCU and earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Fifth-year co-captain middle blocker
Brandon DaSilva (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) led the Green and Gold with eight kills, three blocks, an ace and a dig. Rookie outside hitter
