Tonna Ogina Dominates the Field, Grabs NJAC Athlete of the Week Title

PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) has recognized junior Tonna Ogina (North Brunswick, N.J./Highland Park) as its Field Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 13-19. She is the second Gothic Knight to receive NJAC weekly honors for the indoor season.

Ogina had a remarkable performance at the NYC Gotham Cup, placing sixth in the high jump with a personal best of 1.60 meters. She also made her triple jump collegiate debut, finishing eighth with a mark of 10.96 meters. Her triple jump result qualified her for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Indoor Championships, where she will now compete in both the triple jump and high jump. This is her first NJAC Weekly honor of her career.
