GLASSBORO, NJ - The New Jersey City University women's basketball team kept the wins flowing in with a 72-58 win over Rowan University on Saturday, January 25.

NJCU (10-7, 6-5) had five players tally double-digit points led by Tahirah Kelley (Linden, N.J./Immaculate Conception) and Na'Tori Postell who each tallied 14. Elyssa Russo (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) finished close behind with 13 while Kendra Rigo (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) recorded a career-high 18 rebounds. Rowan (11-7, 7-4) was led by Haley Selmer who scored 16 points, and Abigail Jazmin who grabbed six rebounds.

The Gothic Knights surged to a 9-2 lead early in the first quarter thanks to five quick points from Postell. Rowan eventually cut the lead down to two points by the end of the half after NJCU's offense cooled off.

Rowan tied the game to start the second stanza, however, Rigo quickly tipped the scales back in NJCU's favor with a tip-in basket. That basket sparked a 9-0 run by the Gothic Knights highlighted by six points from Russo. With momentum fully in their court, the Gothic Knights carried an eight-point lead into the break.

The Gothic Knights recorded their most explosive quarter of the game, netting 23 points to Rowan's 16. The Profs and the Gothic Knights traded blows early in the third stanza until Rowan's offense went dormant, allowing NJCU to stretch its lead thanks to seven unanswered points.

Up 15 heading into the fourth the Gothic Knights' offense kept pace with Rowan to ensure they secured their fourth straight win.
