BOSTON, MASS. – The New Jersey City University (NJCU) women's track and field team faced off against a highly competitive field at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University on Friday, January 31, competing alongside professionals and athletes from all divisions.
Junior Reyanna Henderson (Pemberton, N.J./Pemberton Two) led the Gothic Knights with standout performances, earning eighth place in the 400m dash with a personal best of 58.47 seconds. This time moves her into third place in the program's all-time 400m dash rankings. She also set another personal best in the 200m dash, finishing 12th with a time of 25.52Â seconds.
Sophomore Jezena Aponte (Jersey City, N.J./Snyder) made history in the one-mile run, finishing with a personal best of 5:18.80, breaking her own program record of 5:20.47 and placing 135th out of 223 competitors.Â
Junior Tonna Ogina (North Brunswick, N.J./Highland Park) represented NJCU in both the long jump (4.84m) and triple jump (9.44m), finishing 25th and 23rd, respectively.
Sophomore Alonah Olden (Lake George, N.Y./Lake George) ran a personal best of 30.91 seconds in the 200m dash, securing 47th place in the event. She also competed in the 60m dash, finishing in 9.40Â seconds.

The Gothic Knights will return to action on Friday, February 7, at the Fast Track National Invite at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
