LANGHORNE, PA. — The New Jersey City University (NJCU) women's cross country team continued its 2025 season on Saturday, Oct. 4, competing in the Highlander XC Invitational hosted by Cairn University. The event featured a competitive field of 21 teams and 98 total runners in the women's 6k race. While the Gothic Knights did not post a team score due to having fewer than five finishers, several individual performances highlighted the outing.
Senior
Raven Orange (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) was the top finisher for NJCU, completing the 6k course in 35:25.0, placing 58th overall. Right on her heels was fellow senior
Reyanna Henderson (Pemberton, N.J./Pemberton Two), who crossed the line with the exact same time, earning 59th place in the field.
Freshman
Kiona Webber (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) made her collegiate cross country 6k debut and finished as the team's third runner, posting a time of 38:03.7 for 67th place. Also making her 6k debut was sophomore
Elyze Lopez (Reseda, Calif./John F. Kennedy), who rounded out NJCU's contingent with a 90th-place finish in 46:28.7.
UP NEXT:
NJCU will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11, traveling to Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J. to compete in the NJIT XC Invitational. The race is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
