PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) has selected junior forward
Autumn John (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) as its Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2025-26 season (Nov. 24–30), the league announced Monday, Dec. 1. The honor marks the first NJAC weekly award of John's collegiate career.
John played a pivotal role in the Gothic Knights' 51–42 road victory over Ramapo College on Tuesday, Nov. 25, helping NJCU open conference play at 1–0 (2–2 overall). She logged a full 40 minutes and delivered a dominant performance on the glass, securing a career-high 19 rebounds, including 13 offensive boards and six on the defensive end. She also contributed six points on 3-of-9 shooting and added two steals to round out her standout two-way effort.
She currently leads the NJAC in rebounds and minute, averaging 10.5 rebounds and 38.3 minutes per game. In the NCAA, she ranks ninth with 5.5 offensive rebounds per game and 17th with 38.36 minutes per game.
New Jersey City University returns to action tonight, traveling to New York to face the Stony Brook Seawolves. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:31 p.m.
