CORALVILLE, IOWA – Senior Izabella Frezzo (East Rutherford, N.J./Becton Regional) represented the Gothic Knights in the 110-pound weight class at the NCWWC Championships at XTream Arena on Friday, March 7.

Frezzo kicked off her tournament in the round of 32, where she faced Simpson's Layla Phillips and secured an impressive 11-0 technical fall in 5:47. However, she was defeated in the next round by Emilie Gonzalez of Iowa, which moved her to the consolation bracket. In her consolation run, Frezzo responded with a dominant 12-2 technical fall over Hiram's Kylee Bentley in 4:38, followed by a 5-1 decision victory against Austria Holland from Adams State.

Frezzo will continue her pursuit of a podium finish tomorrow, as day two of the NCWWC Championships is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
