Doyle First Team All-Region

Doyle Named NFCA First Team All-Region

May 16, 2025

LOUISVILLE, KY | For the first time in New Jersey City University (NJCU) history, a softball player has been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) First Team All-Region. In her first season in the green and gold, Meaghan Doyle (Hardwick, Mass./Quabbin Regional) made an instant impact and was named NFCA First Team All-Region.

The All-Region nod is the first since 2012 where Rebecca Satz and Megan Ginter were honored as Second Team and Third Team, respectively. Doyle becomes just the sixth softball player in NJCU history to make the NFCA All-Region squad in any capacity.

Doyle adds the All-Region award to her First Team All-NJAC award she already has on her resume.

Doyle's first-year campaign was nothing short of spectacular. The utility player emerged as one of the top offensive performers in the conference. She finished the regular season ranked among the top-10 in seven different statistical categories across the NJAC. Doyle posted a .422 batting average, which ranked fourth in the league, and a .624 slugging percentage, placing her fifth. Her .458 on-base percentage was good for ninth, while her combined on-base plus slugging (OPS) of 1.082 was fifth-best in the NJAC. She also ranked sixth in total hits (46) and 10th in home runs, becoming a constant threat at the plate.

Beyond her conference-wide rankings, Doyle led NJCU in nearly every offensive category. She paced the team in batting average, slugging percentage, runs scored (31), hits, home runs, total bases (72), stolen bases (10), and sacrifice flies (2). Her First Team selection makes her the first NJCU freshman to earn that honor since Marissa Bariso in 2011, and the first player overall to make the First Team since Megan Ginter and Rebecca Satz in 2012.
