Kai Fitzpatrick Earns NJAC Weekly Honors For Second Consecutive Week

PITMAN, NJ |Ā Ā For the second week in a row, Kai Fitzpatrick (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough High School) has earned a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) weekly award, earning the honor for games played from September 8–14.

Fitzpatrick was named NJAC Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career.

The Gothic Knights remain undefeated at 6-0 following a strong week that included a five-set victory over Wilkes and four-set win at Penn St.-Berks.

She leads NJCU with 115 kills, 81 digs, and 18 service aces, while also leading the NJAC in kills per set (4.68) and points per set (5.45). She is among the conference's top 10 in digs (3.32 per set), service aces (.59 per set), and hitting percentage (.261).

Against Wilkes, Fitzpatrick tallied a season-high 27 kills on a .375 hitting percentage, along with 17 digs, three assist (season-high), a pair of service aces, and a block assist. She followed that with 20 kills, 13 digs, a season-high four block assists, and a service ace in the four-set win over Penn St.-Berks. The rookie now has four double-double performances on the year.

Fitzpatrick and the Gothic Knights return to action Tuesday, Sept. 16 as they head to Maritime for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.
