PITMAN, N.J. — Kai Fitzpatrick (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough High School) has been named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Week for Sept. 1–7, the second week of the women's volleyball season.
The Gothic Knights remain undefeated at 4-0 following a strong week that included a three-set sweep of Pratt and a thrilling five-set victory over Cairn. Fitzpatrick has quickly established herself as a key contributor for the team and a top player in the conference.
She leads NJCU with 68 kills, 51 digs, and 15 service aces, while also leading the NJAC in kills per set (4.31) and points per set (5.19). She ranks second in service aces per set (0.77) and is among the conference's top 10 in digs (3.31 per set) and hitting percentage (.242).
Against Pratt, Fitzpatrick tallied 15 kills on an impressive .619 hitting percentage, along with eight digs, a solo block, and a service ace. She followed that with a season-high 24 kills, 14 digs, two assists, and two aces in the marathon five-set win over Cairn—marking her second double-double of the season.
Fitzpatrick and the Gothic Knights return to action Thursday, September 11, when they host Wilkes at 7:00 p.m.
