PITMAN, N.J. – New Jersey City University senior guard Bakhi Rogers-Robinson (Orange, N.J./West Caldwell Tech) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for Week 9 of the 2025–26 season (Jan. 5–11), the conference announced Monday, Jan. 12.
The honor marks Rogers-Robinson's second NJAC weekly award of the season and the first Defensive Player of the Week selection of his collegiate career. He previously earned NJAC weekly recognition earlier this season, being named Player of the Week in Week 1 of the 2025–26 campaign.
Rogers-Robinson delivered a pair of standout performances during the week, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor. He opened the week with a strong all-around effort in an NJAC matchup against No. 10 Montclair State University, logging a game-high 30 minutes. In the contest, he recorded a game-high five steals, while contributing 18 points, four assists, and two rebounds.
He followed that performance with another impressive outing on the road at William Paterson University, helping lead the Gothic Knights to a 75–58 NJAC victory over the Pioneers. Playing a game-high 32 minutes, Rogers-Robinson scored 19 points and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds, which also led all players in the game. He was highly efficient offensively, shooting 9-of-14 from the field, while adding three assists and a game-high three steals. The win improved NJCU to 10–4 overall and 6–1 in NJAC play, while William Paterson fell to 6–8 overall and 1–6 in conference action.
Through 14 games this season, Rogers-Robinson has scored in double figures in every contest, serving as one of the most consistent and productive guards in the conference. His nine-rebound performance against William Paterson marked the highest single-game rebound total of his career.
Among NJAC leaders, Rogers-Robinson currently ranks first in scoring at 21.5 points per game and first in steals with 2.7 per game. He also ranks second in free-throw percentage (.871) and third in field-goal percentage (.465). Additionally, he is 19th in the conference in three-point field goals per game (1.1) and 16th in assists (2.2 per game).
On the national stage, Rogers-Robinson continues to make his mark across NCAA Division III. He ranks 23rd nationally in field goals attempted (228) and 39th in field goals made (106).
