CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Sophomore Dominic Terracciano (Keansburg, N.J./Keansburg) and senior Lucas Torre (Point Pleasant, N.J./Brick Memorial) represented the New Jersey City University (NJCU) men's wrestling team at the NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championship, held March 13–14 at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse.
Competing at 125 pounds, Terracciano (24–9) went 0–2 in the tournament. He dropped his preliminary championship round match to Matthew Barley (UChicago) by a 6–0 decision. In the preliminary consolation round, Terracciano faced No. 2 Marc Cafurello (Roanoke) and fell 2–0, ending his run.
At 133 pounds, Torre (36–8) opened the tournament with a 4–2 decision victory over Vincent Ziccardi (Washington & Lee) in the preliminary round. In his next bout, he faced No. 2 Jake Craig (Southern Maine) and was edged 4–2.
Moving into the consolation bracket, Torre advanced with a fall at 2:06 (3–0) against Ty Daugherty (John Carroll). His tournament run concluded in the following round with a 9–6 decision loss to Marvin Armistead (Coast Guard).
