Rogers-Robinson Earns All-Met First Team Honors After Standout Senior Season

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Senior guard Bakhi Rogers-Robinson (Orange, N.J./West Caldwell Tech) capped a stellar final season by earning All-Met First Team honors from the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association, the organization announced Tuesday, April 14. The All-Met team recognizes the top performers across 35 institutions and more than 500 student-athletes in the metropolitan region, making it one of the most competitive postseason accolades in NCAA Division III.

Rogers-Robinson will be formally recognized on April 23 at the 93rd annual Haggerty Awards dinner in Tarrytown, New York, the nation's longest-running media-administered college basketball awards program. The honor places him among the elite players in the region following a dominant senior campaign.

A native of Orange, New Jersey, Rogers-Robinson led New Jersey City University to a 16-13 overall record and a 10-8 mark in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. The Gothic Knights secured a berth in the NJAC Tournament and advanced to the Eastern College Athletic Conference championship game, finishing as the ECAC runner-up.

Rogers-Robinson was the driving force behind NJCU's success, leading the team in scoring with 20.3 points per game while totaling 589 points on the season, the second-highest mark in the NJAC. He also paced the Gothic Knights in field goals made (205), 3-point field goals made (33), free throw percentage (.854), assists (2.1 per game), steals (2.4 per game), and minutes played (33.4 per game). Defensively, he anchored the perimeter, finishing with a conference-best 69 steals.

In addition to his scoring and defensive impact, Rogers-Robinson ranked second on the team in rebounding, averaging 4.0 boards per game. His efficiency at the free throw line led the NJAC, while he also ranked ninth in field goal percentage (.453), 18th in assists, and 24th in 3-pointers per game.

Rogers-Robinson closes his collegiate career with a decorated résumé, earning 2025-26 D3Hoops.com Second Team All-Region IV honors, All-NJAC First Team recognition, and multiple weekly awards. He was named NJAC Player of the Week (Nov. 3-9) and NJAC Defensive Player of the Week (Jan. 5-11), while also garnering Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Division II/III Honorable Mention accolades for the week of Jan. 5-11, 2026.
